On this same note - I just read David Brill's "As far as the eye
can see : reflections of an Appalachian Trail hiker". Although
its a 1990 copyright, it was a very entertaining read.
Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds that
you plant.

I found Bill Bryson's "A Walk in the Woods" to be a very
interesting,
and humorous read. I am now reading, "There Are Mountains to
Climb"
by Jean M. Deeds, her personal story of hiking the AT. Would
also
highly recommend this book!
